How It Works

When you become a member, you are required to fill out a profile that includes information about you, your lifestyle, interests, references, religious background, etc., as well as criteria you are looking for in another person.
Our expert matchmakers will then get to know you better through phone consultations and emails.
There is no browsing of other member profiles. Your matchmaker selects profiles of potential matches and gives you access to profiles for your review. In turn, your matchmaker will only show your profile and picture to potential matches.
Based on the other person’s profile and input from the matchmaker, a member then “accept” or “declines” a potential match through the system. All responses are kept confidential, only accessible to matchmakers and respective members. Each member has up to 10 days to approve or decline the match.
When two members agree to a match, EmetMatch forwards contact information so the members can arrange a conversation and then plan a date. The man should contact the woman within three (3) days of receiving the phone number.
If desired, a member can update her/his status in the system to easily keep the matchmaker informed with the progress of their relationship (i.e. “spoke on phone”, “went on first date”, “dating exclusively”, “engaged”). They can (and should) select “unavailable” when involved with someone else.
Our matchmakers are here for you. They will continue to screen members, recommend matches, and assist (when requested) during the dating process. It is up to you to decide with whom you want to accept a date and to what extent you would like a matchmaker’s input and feedback during the dating process.
